Guess what everyone, it’s nearly time for Steampunkapalooza 2011, our annual month-long online Steampunk Birthday Bash! We have an incredible lineup for you this year with some great people and giveaways and we’re still adding new things. (We still have a few weekend days open if you have a suggestion/recommendation). As you can see we have a lot of new faces and some of your favorites. During April stop by every day for great guests, prizes, mayhem, and more. Hold on to your fishnets, it’s going to be one heck of a party.
Also, the great folks at Tor have given us five, yes, five, copies of Stephen Hunt’s book The Rise of the Iron Moon to help kick everything off. Want to win a copy? Just tell me which guest you’re looking forward to the most and we’ll pick five commentors at random.

What a great list! It makes it difficult to pick which one I am most looking forward to.
I think the author I am most looking forward to is Dru Pagliassotti.
Thanks for putting together such a fabulous selection of authors for the upcoming Steampunkapalooza 2011:)
Rebecca
I’m looking forward to the Carina Press authors, simply beacuase I’m gearing up for Carina Press submissions in a couple months. I actually look forward to all of the authors because it’s my genre and I like to know whats out there.
Gail Carriger. Don’t get me wrong – I’m excited for ALL of these guys! – but I absolutely adore Gail. 😀
WHOOO STEAMPUNKAPALOOZA.
Looking forward to Gail and Leanna!
Woot!
–Carlie
Wow you have got some heavy hitters coming! Congrats. I love a lot of these authors and I’m most looking forward to Gail Carriger.
Thanks!
Gail carriger and gd falksen have to be the ones at the top of my list.
I am so looking forward to Gail Carriger. Love her!
Great lineup!
Since I loved Clockwork Heart, I’m going with Dru Pagliassotti, too. Hope she has another book coming out soon.
Lyndi
Gotta be Caitlin and Gail. I’m fairly new to Steampunk but LOVE the genre.
I’m looking forward to learning about all the writers.

Is it that time of year AGAIN. 😀 I’m a big fan of Gail Carrigers, and you’ve had both her and Leanna Hieber visit before, but it will be good to hear from them again. Sometimes it’s the person you’ve never heard of before that sparks an interest…sometimes it’s the person you’ve heard of, but never read–like, Caitlin Kittredge. I’m interested in her new book, The Iron Thorn. Steampunk, Victorian sensibilities, and Faeries…it sounds interesting.
I’m most looking forward to Dru Pagliassotti ’cause that’s my B-day!!!
It sure does sound like a fab line up!
The list is quite impressive, but I think the one I’d most look forward to is Dru Pagliassotti.
Go steampunk!
yay! looking forward to Steampunkapalooza next month!
most especially want to see/hear/read about Leanna Hieber ;-D
Mike Resnick or Gail Carriger. Do I have to choose between them? I’ve only just found the site in time for Steampunkapalooza. I can’t wait.
Wow! Congratz on the awesome lineup, Lolitas. It’s tough to choose a favorite, but Felix Gilman wrote one of the best books I read last year, so I’m going with him.
Gonna be a great month!
I’m brand new to the world of Steampunk, but I’ve heard amazing things about Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate series. I’ll have to start it before she visits!
I’m looking forward to Caitlin Kittredge in particular. The entire month sounds great.
Katherine
This whole list looks great! I have been running across GD Falksen all over the aether and look forward to learning more about him.
Is it kosher to recommend oneself for a day? I’m still unpublished in the genre, and my upcoming novel is more of a dieselpunk, weird Western than steam…
I’m going full monty into the world of self-pubbing ebooks and can always prattle on about that.
http://www.reeferpunk.com is home base for the project.
Caitlin kittredge, love her books.
caitlin kittredge!!!
Hmm, I don’t know enough yet to pick a favorite amd am looking forward to reading more!
I would be interested in knowing more about Christine Bell. I am excited that I am going to be a part of this exciting month.
All of the guests are exciting, but I’m looking forward to Caitlin Kittredge the most, but Gail Carriger is a close second.
I’m looking forward to Beth Revis! =)
Indeed, an exciting list, but comparitively new to the genre, but an author so unique, so talented—and one who has refused to follow any tired rules—that is if Steampunk has any “tired rules”—I’ve got to go with Cindy Spence-Pape. She never, and I mean *never* disappoints.
Joelle
This is a great list, but I think I’m going to have to go with Saundra Mitchell. She’s amazing.
What a great line-up. I’m looking forward to every single day! Since I can’t choose between authors, I’ll say I’m looking forward to Mystic Pieces Jewelry. Gotta love the bling!
Tim Akers, Gail Carriger, Caitlin Kittredge or George Mann? And there are also other great authors…..it is too difficult to decide….I’m going with George Mann.
Thank you for this great event! 😀
Looking forward to participating, and thanks, Joelle, for the shout out. I’m really excited to be part of this.
Oh wow, so many choices! If I absolutely had to choose one, it would be Caitlin Kittredge, but there are so many great authors on that list.
Ooh, fun! I’ll be tuning in for the action. 🙂
Nice lineup. I’m looking forward to Caitlin Kittredge and of course, Cindy Spencer Pape! 🙂
I’m looking forward to Gail Carriger, Beth Revis and Caitlin Kittredge.
Thanks.
Tina
As much as I look forward to authors like Caitlin Kittredge, I must say that I am EAGERLY anticipating Mystic Pieces. Their jewelry is so gorgeous!!!!
While I think Gail Carriger is awesome (met her in person several times), I’m going with Philippa Ballantine. When you all read the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences book out April 26th, you’ll know why. ❤ her muchly!!!
contest is closed. Winner posted April 4th!
