I enjoyed your list and have many of the books mentioned, but I wondered, is "The Difference Machine" possibly an alternate title for William Gibson and Bruce Sterling? I had not heard of that title before and the two sounded similar. If anyone's interested, a call in Podcast I host, Farland's Authors' Advisory (Sponsored by Epic Fantasy author David Farland) recently did an interview with one of the "fathers" of the Steampunk sub-genre, Tim Powers.
